As sustainability remains a top priority for consumers, brands, and industry leaders, Ventile was proud to exhibit at this year’s Future Fabrics Expo. Held in London, it brought together a vibrant community of designers, brands, and innovators, all united by a shared mission: to reshape the future of fashion through more sustainable choices and responsible textile sourcing.
At the heart of our setup was a hands-on showcase of our organic, recycled, and blended fabric ranges, each thoughtfully developed to meet the highest standards of environmental responsibility and performance. From GOTS-certified organic cotton to our expanding range of GRS-certified recycled fabrics, our display reflected the growing industry need for innovative, low-impact textiles.

A HUB FOR RESPONSIBLE DESIGN
The Expo served as a dynamic space for collaboration and exchange. We engaged with designers, sourcing experts, and sustainability advocates who are passionate about reducing the fashion industry’s environmental footprint. Conversations centred around transparency, traceability, and the future of bio-based materials - key themes defining the next generation of designers.
The growing interest in circular materials and textile-to-textile recycling was clearly evident as well, with particular attention on innovative fabric solutions like our Ventile Eco Recycled range. This collection, made entirely from pre-consumer textile waste, is a good example of how sustainability is being redefined at the material level.
A SPECIAL VISIT FROM RAVENSBOURNE UNIVERSITY
One of the most memorable moments of the event was welcoming the Ravensbourne University London team to our stand. As part of our long-standing partnership, we proudly celebrated the results of our Outerwear Competition with their students.
Our Managing Director, Daniel Odermatt, wore the winning parka, designed by emerging talent Liam Curtis. The garment - crafted in Ventile ECO 300 RCC (Olive) - stood out as a beacon of thoughtful, forward-thinking design. More than just a jacket, it represents the voice of a new generation that sees sustainability not as a trend, but as a core design principle.
LEADING THE ECO-FABRIC MOVEMENT
Across the Expo, it was clear that natural fibres and low-impact materials are driving the evolution of responsible fashion. This echoes the ongoing shift we've seen at Ventile: a surge in demand for fabrics that combine performance, longevity, and environmental integrity.
Our ECO Collection, launched in 2019 with 100% recycled cotton, has rapidly expanded to include organic cotton and natural blends - all certified to leading standards including GOTS, GRS, and Oeko-Tex.
Market interest is especially strong in:
As Daniel Odermatt notes:
“Ventile Organic is woven from premium extra-long-staple cotton that represents only 0.04% of the cotton produced globally. This unique fully twisted yarn increases garment durability and lifespan - limiting the need for frequent replacement and reducing the environmental impact of textile production.”
LOOKING AHEAD
Future Fabrics Expo 2025 reaffirmed what we’ve long believed: that collaboration, transparency, and innovation are the driving forces behind a more sustainable textile industry. The global appetite for natural fibres and environmentally intelligent design is no longer niche - it’s the new standard.
As we continue to expand our sustainable offerings and partnerships, Ventile remains committed to delivering premium textiles that respect both the environment and the people who wear them.
