Every year, our team attend the biggest textile trade shows in Europe; connecting with customers and peers, learning about industry innovations, and presenting Ventile’s latest developments. Over the summer we headed to Performance Days in Munich, TechTextil in Frankfurt and Future Fabrics Expo in London.

Ventile’s award-winning performance in Munich

The footwear industry is looking to source new fabrications and there is an increased interest from brands in this space. At Performance Days in March, our recycled fabrics, Ventile ECO 430 RCO and Ventile ECO 400 RCO, received the coveted award of 100% Jury Like.

The fabrics, produced using 100% pre-consumer recycled cotton, were exhibited at the Functional Fabric Fair’s Footwear Forum, which introduces the latest innovations and trends in the footwear industry. Judges recognised both Ventile ECO 430 RCO and Ventile ECO 400 RCO for the fabric’s benefits as ‘footwear uppers’.

The recognition is a testament to the hard work and creativity of the team, who continue to push the boundaries of what is possible in performance fabrics.

Swiss collaboration in Frankfurt

A willingness to share best practices and support industry development continued as part of this year’s shows. Following the success in Munich, the team attended the international trade fair for technical textiles, TechTextil, where we shared space with Swiss Textiles – strengthening the connections with other industry leaders and exploring new opportunities for collaboration and growth.

Championing sustainability in London

Sustainability is at the top of mind for consumers, brands and industry experts. To conclude the tour of summer fairs, the team exhibited the organic, recycled and blended ranges at Future Fabrics Expo, the leading showcase for sustainable materials. It was a great opportunity to share the latest news on our joint venture with the Egyptian Biodynamic Association (EBDA), which works to support organic and regenerative farming ensuring the purity of cotton fibres.

At the Expo, we also engaged with brands, designers, and sustainability advocates who are passionate about reducing the environmental impact of the fashion and textile industry.
