It certainly hasn’t been the Summer we expected, with holidaymakers having to rethink their travels and look for adventures a bit closer to home.
As lockdown restrictions begin to ease, the anticipation and desire for some freedom has grown. With so many options close by, all it takes is a little imagination. This year, for some their staycation may take them campervanning for the first time. Campervanning is the perfect way to enjoy the great outdoors, and it gives you the freedom to decide where you to day by day. You can travel to the furthest reaches of the country and enjoy the peace and serenity that surrounds you.
We caught up with our friends at Jerba Campervans to put together some top tips for a sound and safe staycation. Jerba use Ventile fabric in the canvas of their elevating roofs to provide ventilation, protection, and comfort when in the outdoors. If you’re planning an upcoming staycation, here is some advice from the Jerba team on how to do it effectively and safely.
1. Book Ahead
Organisation is always key when planning a trip, but in these times its more important than ever to think ahead. Many campsites though open, will be running at a reduced capacity so it’s important to book a spot to avoid disappointment.
2. Shop Local
All businesses great and small have felt the impact of the pandemic, and so it has never been more important to support local independent businesses which are the lifeblood for many. So, when going on your staycation, why not check out the local stores to stock up and enjoy some delicious produce.
3. Follow the Guidelines
As important as it is to enjoy your adventures, it’s equally important to make sure that you continue to follow the Government guidelines. Keep up to date with localised regulations to keep you and fellow adventurers safe.
4. Enjoy Yourself
Above all else, it is important that you enjoy your time in the outdoors with the ones you love! 2020 hasn’t been the year that anyone would have imagined and as we come to settle in to the new normal, it’s important to enjoy ourselves while staying safe.
