Sales Trends and Market Opportunities: What Our Sales in France Say about Sustainable Fashion

At Ventile, we've seen some incredible momentum in France lately, with sales increasing 800% from January to December 2024 – a record-breaking performance that marks a significant milestone in our continued growth across Europe. This exceptional result is not just a number; it reflects a regional shift toward sustainable, high-performance textiles, and underscores our strategic focus on innovation, quality, and environmental responsibility. So, what’s driving this growth?

A key factor in this success has been the strong performance of our Ventile ECO range, which has become a favourite among designers and sustainability-minded brands. In fact, 95.5% of our total sales in France last year came from this range alone – that since its launch in 2019 has evolved to include a wide selection of GOTS, GRS, and Oeko-Tex certified fabrics made from 100% recycled cotton, organic cotton, and responsibly sourced cotton blends. The Colour Story Alongside the surge in demand, clear colour trends have emerged from our data. Neutral and darker tones continue to resonate with both designers and consumers alike, with Black, Black Navy, Stone, and Stone Beige accounting for 69% of total orders in the French market. These preferences point to a broader movement toward minimalist aesthetics in sustainable fashion.

What This Means Moving Forward Our Brand Director, Daniel Odermatt, has summed it up perfectly: “This growth highlights the increasing shift towards high-quality, sustainable textiles, and we’re proud to be part of this movement.”
