Ventile’s Continued Commitment to Sustainable Fabric Initiatives.

Trade shows are back, and what a way to kick-start the season than with a visit to the Future Fabrics Expo in London.

Now in its tenth year, the Future Fabrics Expo is a two-day event aimed at connecting brands and designers with mills, suppliers and innovators all with the same aim; to deliver sustainable textile solutions. On the back of the continued development of our sustainable fabric range, Ventile was proud to be back as part of the selected 150 suppliers at the event.

As a venture of the Sustainable Angle, the Future Fabrics Expo is selective of exhibitors, and hosts suppliers that develop materials that have a low environmental impact. The show itself, as well as the year-round library, are set up to educate businesses about making informed decisions about the materials they use. What sets this expo apart from other shows is this sustainable education piece through the delivery of panel discussions, expert presentations, and clear supplier information packs.

Since 2018, we have worked tirelessly to introduce new fabrications to the ever-growing Ventile collection. At this year’s event, we were proud to exhibit not only our sustainably sourced organic cotton range, but we also proudly displayed our ever-growing blends collection alongside the popular Ventile Recycled.

With the Slow Fashion movement continuing to gain momentum and the sustainability agenda at the forefront of the consumer’s mind, the Future Fabric Expo plays a huge part in the education of the industry as a whole and challenging pre-conceived notions of design. Here at Ventile, we look to connect social and environmental awareness with beautiful, well-made and performance-driven clothing. We must provide designers with fabric of the highest quality to make a garment which lasts a lifetime, a garment that gets better with age and inspires longevity. Inclusion in this supplier list helps us to connect directly with designers and support them with their decision-making.

Alongside the show at The Magazine in London, Future Fabrics will display Ventile as part of a 900-piece library all year round via its Virtual Expo. The virtual showcase is an online research and sourcing platform set up for fashion industry professionals to discover new sustainable fabrics and mills. The platform has been set up to encourage informed decision-making in the design process.

Slow fashion is in heart of everything we do; we are pleased to have had the opportunity to showcase Ventile at Future Fabrics and talk with designers directly about our fabrics.
