Sustainability and Ventile

Ventile fabric is a popular choice with outdoor experts and amateur enthusiasts alike. From the top of Everest to the depths of the Arctic, Ventile fabric has been worn in some of the most remote corners of the globe. Nature, the environment, and the outdoors are interlinked with Ventile and that is why as a brand we advocate sustainable living.

In 2018 we first launched the campaign ‘Join the movement. Love the environment. Choose slow fashion.’ The aim of this launch was to demonstrate that textiles can be designed sustainably and to advocate a slow approach to fashion. The ethos of this messaging still holds strong for Ventile and is something that is at the root of everything we do, and every new fabric we develop.

As a company, we are champions of the slow fashion movement. We believe in consuming and creating fashion consciously, with sustainability and integrity at our core. We support our partners to produce beautiful well-made clothing that places emphasis on environmental awareness, offering ecological solutions to designers.

Each year, we see increased interest in our recycled, organic, and blended fabrics. In 2022, sales of our eco range accounted for 50% of our total sales, an indication not only of the importance of sustainability for designers but for consumers too.
